Melissa and Seth share a passion for modern architecture and design, so it was a natural choice to have their wedding poolside at the Del Marcos, the fabulous mid-century modern hotel inPalm Springs where they’d been retreating and lounging for years as a couple.
Designed in 1947 by the famed desert architect William F. Cody, the Del Marcos Hotel is ideally located in the legendary Palm Springs historic hotel and shopping district and only 1 block from downtown Palm Springs.
The atomic-age town of Palm Springs, the desert landscape, and their appreciation of the fantastic 1950’s hotel inspired Melissa & Seth to take a stylized approach to their wedding, incorporating classic cocktails, details, and colors throughout, and asking guests to arrive in 50’s-inspired attire.
This couple is truly living their dream together, sharing a great sense of humor and adventure, running a successful design business, traveling the world, and now devoting themselves to each other.
We thought their celebration was incredible from start to finish.
"The history of Palm Springs is as varied as those who live here and come to visit. From the native Agua Caliente Cahuilla Indians to the first pioneers to the early Hollywood stars to the mid-century modernist architects to celebrity mayor, Sonny Bono, to today’s rediscovery, Palm Springs remains an historical and ecological wonder."
